Just had a look at our record in the calendar year 2015.
Home Games
5 wins, 5 draws and 11 defeats. 20 points out of a possible 63.
Away Games
4 wins,9 draws and 10 defeats.21 points out of a possible 69.
44 games produced just 41 points (31%)
Sincerely hope 2016 will see a huge upturn in our fortunes. I think a lot of other Clubs are astonished at the level of support the fans continue to give the team and todays turn out at Cheltenham of 424 is just fantastic.
Our Conference/National League Record 2015
2015 has been appalling, the last 2 team performances have been much improved, suggestions there will some signings in January and looking at our fixture list after FGR on New years day, we only have 2 if the top 7 to play, hopefully the start 2016 will go much better for us, I'm more hopeful of staying up now than I was a week ago.

To be honest I don't think that there is any difference as to whether we stay up or not - irrespective of the FGR and Cheltenham results. We are going to need several players - not just a couple of wingers to strengthen the squad.
We are lacking in strikers (only 2), we need a decent keeper, probably a centre half and full back cover. That's hell of an ask for a team with zero finance.
If we get a couple of injuries we will be back in the same position of fielding tripe. With all due respect we are not going to start winning games if we are bringing Sean Finch off the bench. The nearest he should be getting to playing in our team is paying at the gate to get in.
If anything the last two matches make you question what the hell we have been doing for the last 20 or so. Over 400 supporters at Cheltenham. Over 2000 at boxing day.
For a team with our support our position in this league (which lets face it, is absolute dross in the main) is still an almighty disgrace.

If there is a bright spot to be had its that the support has largely held up. I think it can make a lot of difference. It might help save us this season - if not it will I am sure help us back up from the Nationwide South.
Well if the strong suggestions that both Ajala and Daniel will arrive January 2nd are confirmed, that's a massive positive, got pace in both, and goals in Daniel. Think decent keeper is the wrong wording, Lavercombe's done well in these last two games, but his inexperience at times does show, there's a way around that, don't take Dan back on loan from Wigan should that move be confirmed and try a source an experienced replacement along the lines of Mildenhall if such a keeper is available and willing.
Don't think we need full back cover, got that in Smith and MacDonald who can both play there, but the striker position is a huge issue, Finch needs to be thanked for his help and sent packing he's not good enough.
For me whether it's Dan back on loan or a.n other fine, Ajala and Daniel plus a striker could be more than enough to turn results in our favour on the evidence of the last two games.

Shepherd M was supposed to have gone but played today. Lets hope that isn't because one of the wingers mentioned has fallen through. I wouldn't want Lavercombe back on loan, he is error strewn whatever anyone says.
We have now got rid of Hurst ,Yeoman, Fisher, Fenwick and Shepherd M (if he goes). We could still do with offloading Fairhurst, Exodus and Briscoe - but the chances of disposing of the latter three are minimal. Odofin can't get in Bidefords side - so really there is no point in him being here either.
We are not going to stay up with having Andre Wright and Tyrone Marsh as our sole two strikers. I doubt Fairhurst will play a game this season because he is a crock.
So that leaves us needing another two strikers just for starters. Exodus just isn't good enough (even as cover). Gerring is basically a non league player so that leaves us reliant on McDonald (if he stays) and Smith.
Berry is the only recognised right back we have - so its not really as simple as what you seem to think.

Incidentally - Daniel was not in the Woking squad today. Ajala was sub and came on for the last four minutes, so read into that what you will.

Let's not forget that Geoghagon played for several weeks carrying a groin strain. I suspect he should not have been playing but there was nobody to take his place. I'm not a great fan but he's useful to have on the bench at least. Ben Gerring certainly looked out of his depth in his first game against Lincoln but he did okay against FGR and according to the radio commentary, didn't let the side down today. I agree that we need to bring in another striker from somewhere. Carmichael being injured again is a worry. Good player when he is fit but if he's going to be out through injury every other game, it would be best if he returned to Bournemouth and we brought in another midfield player. A lot easier said than done finding these players, though.brucie wrote: So that leaves us needing another two strikers just for starters. Exodus just isn't good enough (even as cover).
