Want a little perspective do you? - HERE YOU GO! - The budget Cox has this year would have been in the bottom 4 of budgets for all teams competing in last years league.

Posts like yours only serve to cause damage to a club which a few months ago would have gone altogether.

Full respect from me to those who saved this club and I fully respect that the budget Cox is working with means we will experience performances such as the Cheltenham one. The damage done by the Phillips era will take years to recover from - and those writing such glorious insights as you (after only a handful of games) are nothing short of ignorant.

If Cox keeps us up this year, the attendances average to at least 1800 and the board can get the books back in line then brighter days are ahead for us all but right now we need to hunker down and come together in order to survive the sh1t storm which is a result of times past.

I had a good chat with Steve Breed before the game yesterday and if you listen to the described state the club was in at the time the new consortium took over then only a fool would expect any more than what we actually are at the moment. A rebuilding of the club is underway and we're so fortunate that we're able to do it from a lowpoint that still finds us being able to compete in a national league. The likes of Tiverton in a league game were oh so close. The manipulation of situations by certain previous board members can only be described as incompetent beyond belief.

I came away yesterday feeling proud that the club I love is still alive and kicking and in the best hands that are available to us. The fans were great yesterday and I'm sure the players felt it and will respond positively to that kind of support. What we don't need is the negativity surrounding the odd poor performance, at least the players are trying on what I saw. It's time for us as fans to get behind the club like never before, time to show how passionate we are about the club and make the players feel they belong, most have been all over the place, make them feel at home.

I think you only need to compare our current position in the league to Kidderminster - a similarly sized club also facing financial problems, but with a substantially better geographical position for picking up players.

With the run of games we've had to start the season, it wasn't beyond the realms of possibility to see us with 1 or 2 points and already adrift. The fact that we are just a couple of points behind the much fancied Grimsby says to me that Cox is getting as much as he can out of the team.

It will be interesting to see how we get on in the next run of games. Let's be honest, if we want to be sure of staying in this division we need to be getting 3 points off your Wellings, Guiseleys etc. let's get behind the team for these games rather than jumping on the back of some defeats to the divisions fancied sides

The normal perspective of little gulls is to look down on people from on high, achieving limited and small frame views, but the ability to poop on anyone and everyone. Please little gull go fly away somewhere else. You are not wanted here.

They are sensibly running the club on a 'break even' gate of 1800 instead of expecting Thea Bristow to act as Lady Bountiful by propping up the club to the tune of £2000 per month.
It was much worse than that Tomo, try £2,000 per DAY.

Whilst Littlegull has been rightly castigated for his views I do feel a lot of people are looking for straw men to attack. I have seen and heard very little negativity from our fans, who in the main are very understanding of the situation we are in and almost unfailingly supportive of Paul Cox.

The attitude you express is not wanted here, Dazza. Divergence of opinion is wanted, and is welcome on this forum. Exchanges of views encourage thought and deeper understandings of issues. Who is to say that Little Gull, having read the responses to his or her post, has not reconsidered his or her position and arrived at a new understanding of the situation at Plainmoor? Or if not, so what?

Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion, and everyone is entitled to disagree, and to say why. But what would happen if we discouraged, even banned, those with whom we disagree, especially those with opinions we perceive to be wildly wrong? We would end up with an echo chamber of similar views and a hive mentality of bigots. And that is what is not wanted here.
