Speiss vs Lavercombe

Post by drummergull90 »

Who should start at Eastleigh tomorrow? From what I've seen of both I think Dan deserves a chance, he was excellent at the tail end of last season. I fear we may have another Rice on our hands with Speiss- a good shot stopper but can't control his area.

Speiss may be older than Lavercombe but he is still a young inexperienced keeper. I don't think dropping him like that would be the best for his development. Hopefully and arm around the shoulder from Kenny and some video analysis will improve things for Monday.

Chopping changing the goalkeepers every time one of them has a bad game will do neither of them any good what so ever, we saw this last season with Rice and Seabright, Spiess to date has had just one bad game, to me his performances so far more than justify him keeping his place.

Just because he's had one bad game doesn't mean he should be dropped! Ridiculous.

If Cox was considering changing the keeper, Eastleigh away is not the match to do it.
