Resignation of 2 Directors
I was very surprised to read in the Herald Express that Shaun and Keira Roberts had resigned as Directors of the Club just 6 weeks after being appointed.
According to the Chairman Dave Phillips the reason for the resignations are "personal reasons"
As yet no Statement on the Club Website.

I shouldn't worry too much about this; changes can occur from time to time in any sphere of life. There could be any number of valid reasons. And nobody is indispensable or irreplaceable.

...but if they put money in?Gullscorer wrote:I shouldn't worry too much about this; changes can occur from time to time in any sphere of life. There could be any number of valid reasons. And nobody is indispensable or irreplaceable.
I know not if this is the case but I suspect it is highly likely that the new board would not allow members to just pull out and take any investment with them. IF (no idea if this is the case or how much) they did invest then I am sure contractually this investment remains until a number of conditions and time frames are met (etc etc).

I wouldnt worry too much.. if they did invest then it will be safe as shares of the club or a secured loan.. I doubt they will look to get the money back quickly unless they have a personal emergency like Bankruptcy hearing over them or health problems.. we all have problems from time to time and we have to put our energy where its needed at that time.. so they have seen fit to put their energy in where its really needed.

Agreed. And you don't have to be a director to be an investor.

This. Being a director is quite a personal responsibility and it's very possible that the two former directors were happy to make an investment but weren't comfortable with the amount of responsibility expected of them. Better to bow out early on.Gullscorer wrote:Agreed. And you don't have to be a director to be an investor.
