Why can't we have a left footer playing on the left, using the width of the pitch?
When CH States that he wishes to play Wide expansive football then get the wingers going round the outside and not cutting in, narrowing the game.

If this is the case, and considering we're 15th in the league table, this would put our midfield as being 23rd...forevertufc wrote:our attack is ranked 8th in the conference, about right to where most of us thought we'd finish in the league, our defence is ranked 14th in the conference, clearly showing where the problem lies.

I totally agree with this, we should focus on the defence because this season it's been a shambles. We need one goalkeeper, two full backs and one central defender for starters.forevertufc wrote: However in my humble opinion as nothing more than a fan, I just think on what I've this season, thinking about squad building the priority is elsewhere, from 11th place down only us and Braintree have a positive goal difference, and Braintree's + GD is only thanks to us, our attack is ranked 8th in the conference, about right to where most of us thought we'd finish in the league, our defence is ranked 14th in the conference, clearly showing where the problem lies.
I just don't have the faith in CH to recruit strong enough candidates. He used a scatter gun approach at the back end of last year and we had a number of failures on loan who all contributed zilch.
Any players brought in on loan between now and the end of the season must play though. It's no good giving them 25 minutes from the bench.
TUFC never fails to let its fanbase down.

This http://www.statto.com/football/teams/torquay-united is one of a few stats sites I use, click the link all the information is on this page, we can see on the graph's at the bottom just how our season has fell apart, and when it started. If our defence had been ranked the same as our attack we'd now be chasing a play-off place.
