Why can't we have a left footer playing on the left, using the width of the pitch?
When CH States that he wishes to play Wide expansive football then get the wingers going round the outside and not cutting in, narrowing the game.

Agreed. And hopefully getting some decent crosses into the goal area.

If this is the case, and considering we're 15th in the league table, this would put our midfield as being 23rd...

I totally agree with this, we should focus on the defence because this season it's been a shambles. We need one goalkeeper, two full backs and one central defender for starters.

I just don't have the faith in CH to recruit strong enough candidates. He used a scatter gun approach at the back end of last year and we had a number of failures on loan who all contributed zilch.

Any players brought in on loan between now and the end of the season must play though. It's no good giving them 25 minutes from the bench.

If our defence had been ranked the same as our attack we'd now be chasing a play-off place.
