I do wonder if F'rev is on to something. Over the last few years, we've seen a handful of kids, most notably Dan Sulllivan, produce wonders for the youth team, then fail totally to get anywhere near the first XI. Sully, if you recall, scored about fifty million goals in his last season as a kid. Since then, he's played three matches for the first team, all PSFs. If it were just Sully, I'd put it down to an attitude problem. Too much FIFA Manager 2009, not enough extra practice, but it's not. It's also Ash Yeoman, who is the type of guy to do what is needed to get himself into the team. I am curious as to whether, as a club, we don't handle the transition from youth to senior very well?

I know what Hector is saying about cast offs and what not and I agree, but cast offs or not, it's tough to argue that Sully simply lacks talent, when, judging from both his numbers and the performances I saw him give, that simply isn't the case at youth level.

I'm guessing this is the problem and the reason why Hargreaves brought in Kevin Nancekevill to work with the tough players in the 1st team...

Liam scored today against Bournemouth. It was a very good finish from a cross by Levis, who also scored a cracker. Levis was screaming " give the f"*^"ing ball to me", so he got the ball and fired it into the net. It was worth watching the youth team for that moment alone ! Unfortunately Bournemouth won 2-3. However, the Torquay boys should be pleased with their performance.

There is just a little missing with Sully but he may get stronger.
Yeoman looked to be breaking in at the end of the last season but I don't rate him a regular first team player but if a manager gave him a run who knows. Rice had a run and proved a point but a I did say
there would be only one outcome as he's only a good keeper at a lower level.

Matt we are talking about one players talent not the youth team! This one player has what it
takes.
I have managed against Kevin several times and he was an excellent player but he is gaining experience
as a coach and I think his personal opinion could be the same as mine.
