Trialists
On the OS there is an article saying there was a trial game on Monday at Plainmoor and that two players who impressed will be joining us pre season. CH initial thoughts are that these players could cause some damage in the Conference.
One is a winger and one a striker. does anyone know what format this game took (in house or against rivals) or who these players are?

Don't really need to know any more than this at the present time. What we do know is what seems to be a general consensus that CH is making all the right noises and, within the limits imposed upon him by his budget and by existing contracts, taking all the right actions to build a new squad capable of making an impact on the Conference next season.
I'm looking forward to the new season with some anticipation. Bristol Rovers may think themselves to be a bigger club, but I should be far more worried about the coming campaign if I were a Rovers fan..

I want to know who this game was against? All the senior pro's have gone on their holibobs and the Youth Team was not involved?

I would guess it was a trial game, I got this from reading the article where it says it was a trial game.

22 (or more) triallists all together, at Torquay, within a week or so of the end of the season? It might have been a trial game, but I can't believe it was made up entirely of triallists.

The two who have been invited back are winger Toby Ajala, released by Bristol City (had loan spells with AFC Wimbledon and Cheltenham) in January and finished the season in the Conference with Welling Utd. The striker was Duane O'Achie, a youngster previously with Southend Utd, not much more known on him.
There were a sprinkling of youth teamers apparently, with Ives, Coleman and Odofin giving a good account of themselves too.

Ajala was a bench warmer for Welling towards the end of the season - if he cannot make their side then you have got to wonder.
