Baily Cargill
The damage is already done, as Ben and others have pointed out, money used to sack managers could have used to back them, how much of the money brought on players sales was re-invested in fit for purpose replacements, suggestions are pointing towards in big fat 0%, the miracle goal scorer could have been here all the way a long.
However bringing this into the now and forgetting was is done, in the past. From the outside looking in, so could be wrong, there seems to be trance like state around the club, there seems to be feeling coming from with in that the conference would be an easier league for TUFC to compete and survive in, there seems to be feeling that TUFC will settle nicely right back into the conference, we'll get back to winning ways , we'll pushing up at the right end of league, as such fans will come flocking back and everything in the yellow garden once again will be rosy red.
This isn't going happen, we as a club don't have an automatic right to be a big fish in a small pond , the conference has moved on since we left it, there's a lot of good teams down there, and more well financed clubs than our last visit, thanks to profile of the conference that's been raised over the years.
For our club to have any hope re-building it must stay in the league that's a simple fact, the lost income will kill of any hope with out significant new investment. I'm no expert on finance , whether directors loans, a share issue , or via other means, again as said I'm no expert on this subject, but however, the risk of our club financing a move from a proven goal scorer was worth it.
The club had done it before, Buckle went out on January and brought back Jake Robinson, Gavin Tomlin and Craig Stanley, we shot up the league and should have gone up.

I agree that this is the way forward Edd, I always have but in our situation as it stands it is the last thing we need. I'm presuming this is what you meant, more long term than for now and I agree.
Loanees from bigger clubs have a big part to play at clubs like us but never at the expense of available squad members which was Mr Knill's forte.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

I'll lose all faith in the beautiful game if he's not referred to as Arthur(s) in the dressing room.

Of course he should be. However, I expect that most if the players are too young to remember "King" Arthur and his daft ginger combover.Fonda wrote:I'll lose all faith in the beautiful game if he's not referred to as Arthur(s) in the dressing room.
He's the Bournemouth development squad player of the season.

Seems like they are expecting big things from him, hopefully they will think a full season here will aid his progress.

Bailey Cargill is the only left back we've had all season. He's a class act and looked to be a level headed lad. Bournemouth are right to expect big things of him. As much as I'd like to see him back at Plainmoor, I doubt that it will happen.Jerry wrote:He's the Bournemouth development squad player of the season.

I would welcome him back next year. He won't be first choice at Bournemouth, so first team football in a full time side should be beneficial to his career. We have the two month's history and the connection with Hargreaves to hopefully swing things our way.
I think we will see him back on a years loan. He would be first choice and exactly what Bournemouth are looking for in the aid of his devlopment. Torquay is also not a million miles away for him so can play for us and also be in fairly decent contact with his club.

Looks like we can put this one to bed. Eddie Howe wants him as part of their squad this season and has ruled out a loan at the present time. Hopefully he will see the benefit Cargill had of being at Torquay and consider sending other promising youngsters our way.
