Why my week was ACE! 31/01-06/02
CHANGES!!!
Right, I have decided to give this a go. If it doesn't catch on, I'll can it, but give it a fighting chance.
This thread will run in conjunction with 'Why my week was shit.' Basically, it's a chance for people to share news, good or bad, with other dotnetters, no questions asked. I MIGHT introduce rules if they become necessary, but I'll credit you all with enough common sense to self moderate your behaviour.
Quite a number of reasons my day was an ACE day, thought I'd share them. So, in no particular order...
1. TUFC won
2. TUFC played jolly well
3. The filth got stuffed
4. Arsenal managed to throw away a four goal lead
5. Sills scored two goals for the Shots
6. Benyon scored for Swindon
7. I met some cool dotnetters, ForeverTUFC, Trojan 67 and misc others
8. Going for a beer at the home of my Gooner mate
9. Got in for nowt
10. Fulham got a point away from home
I think that's about it. Not certain this thread shall remain here, or if anyone else wishes to add their thoughts, maybe it could be a regular thing, or perhaps not, I just felt the need to share my cool day with you.
Matt.

Me and the bruv have been standing in that spot on the Pop since moving over from the enclosure for the Northwich Victoria game on Sunday 7th September 2008.
The start of that season was poor and we moved over to change our luck. It certainly did as the stoppage time penalty put away by Tim Sills gave us a 2-1 win that started a 17 match unbeaten run that took us from 18th position to top place at one point. The bonus of our move over was the reopening of Boots & Laces to Popsiders at the next home game against Eastbourne.

I hope you do stand with us again Dave as the craic around us is spot on but you'll regret standing there when loud mouth Bartlett appears.

Absolutely agree with this Dave, provided you can put up with my appalling language and incessant screaming when I feel we should have a penalty/red card, it's a great place to stand. Bartlett is a ****, but he doesn't come to many games and, since he hasn't yet removed from his arsehole, his bell isn't an issue either.
Troj, I have seen the video of that penalty in the hundredandeleventytwelth minute, total mis-hit balls up which found the top corner and was, consequently, unsavable. I also remember the night that run came to an end at Eastbourne, I was at 'work' and getting text updates from Ma. Everytime my phone went, I expected it to be a TUFC goal and it was a bastard Eastbourne one!
Joe, I know a geezer. He's a top bloke, terrible drummer, ugly as sin and sometimes dresses as a big purple monster, but he's a thoroughly good egg, he sorted me out.
