Today was supposed to be dry but its hammering down here. With another rain band coming in overnight/tomorrow morning we will have the same scenario - game on in the morning. No significant rainfall during the day then it will be called off at 3 pm because the pitch is waterlogged.

You're 40 miles away, what does it matter what the weather is like where you are? It's 40 degrees in Adelaide, so I predict it'll be off due to smoke from a forest fire in Babbacombe.

Just seen the BBC forecast after the news, best we can hope for is the heavy rain moves away before 9am as predicted, and the wind/dry conditions allow the ground staff a full day of preparation without more rain.

Not the groundstaff fault at all - however I reckon we will need no rain at all between now and 7.45 pm tomorrow for the match to go ahead. There is a difference between being negative and realistic.
A thorough soaking of the pitch overnight will lead to exactly the same scenario as we have had for the past postponements.
Because the same area of the pitch won't drain there will only be one outcome I'm afraid. Hopefully I am wrong as I have taken time off work again.
I don't live anywhere near Torquay,I am not a member of the groundstaff,I don't work for the met office and I am not the referee.
Taking all that into consideration I have been right that the last three matches have been postponed. I don't take any credit for that - any fool would have come to the same conclusion far earlier than the powers that be did.
BUT any significant rainfall between now and kick off time tomorrow will see the game go the same way as the others have.
A dry spell following a period of rainfall won't make a jot of difference. Look at the Burton/Bury games same scenario/same outcome.

See Brucie? You gotta be positive !! Mind you, I think here in South Devon we missed the worst of last night's rain. If we'd had what you had in North Devon, or what Yeovilgull had in Somerset, the game would most certainly have been off. Hope you have a good drive down to balmy Plainmoor and that we see a good game. I reckon Plainmoor will be rockin' for Chris's first home game - really looking forward to it. Reckon it will be a tough scrap and wouldn't be surprised if it was a draw, but expecting a win - 2 - 0 ......

Credit to the groundstaff who must have done some sterling work - got to admit I just couldn't see tonights game being on at all - just pray ing it doesn't rain between now and kick off and I don't have a wasted journey.
