Many of you will have seen me mention my best friend Steve who was battling cancer.
he saw Torquay United play a few times with me and was the best friend anyone could have had.
I was grateful for all the best wishes passed through to him on this site.
I am saddened to pass on the news that Steve passed away at 11pm last night. Boxing day. he slipped away peacefully in his sleep.
He will be sadly missed.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your friend - I send my condolences to you.
The sooner they find a cure for cancer the better - what a bloody horrible disease.

Yes, very sad news indeed GG. Condolencies also.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Sorry to hear that Glos. I've had a few friends who've died in the past few years, all of them younger than me. Makes me think about the important things in life. Every moment of life is precious.
