Bournemouth and Burton fans

Post by Gullscorer »

Bournemouth supporters have raised £3000 to enable Burton fans to travel to their re-arranged FA cuptie after the original fixture was postponed an hour before kick-off: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25620878

If a brawl or street battle had occurred between opposing sets of fans, the incident would no doubt have made the national news headlines. This particular act of generosity will probably barely receive a mention outside the sports pages.

Hats off to all those Cherries fans for this heart-warming gesture. :-D

I do applaud the club for doing this obviously but I'm sure there will have been plenty of fans who travelled down independently in their own cars or on trains that won't get reimbursed. I can understand why but maybe they should have given each fan the money back for their ticket then at least every fan gets some cash back.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
