what's happened

Post by ethantufcbaker »

The atmosphere in the ground is dead. Looking at torquayfansdotcom's YouTube from last season, there was jeering against Aldershot and everyone was getting behind the team. The crowd last season wasn't actually much bugger. So what do we do? Also what's happened to the flag in the popside?

Easy answer, league position, results, the team has no confidence, the fans have no confidence, there is an ever growing number who want knill out and the mood in some won't change until he's gone, and ever growing expectation that we're going down no matter what.

The picture will only change if and when we start winning games.

Oh you know, it's the little things, inactive board not engaging with the support, being bottom of the league, impending relegation to the Conference with little or no hope of return any time soon, a manager who knows as much about football as chris roberts, losing to teams like WITHERIDGE!

MARTIN ALLEN PLEASE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with forevertufc, look at our league position, cup run. The answers pretty clear why there's little/if any atmosphere. Or alternatively read other threads on this forum. Thread should be locked for stating the obvious

I'll still try and sing even when we're 3 or 4 down. What's the alternative? Going to sleep? Although I almost did at Scunny, that was just one shocker too many for a lot us and we just about gave up with 20 to go. I like to show the fans of the opposition when we go away that we have a nucleus of unwavering support however small it may be and show them that however crap our team is and however far we've travelled we are fully behind our club regardless. This has been harder to do these past few seasons but we must be proud of our club, proud of (your) town  and proud that we don't just sing when we're winning which is what we slate a lot of fans of other clubs for doing but it seems we have a lack of atmosphere at Plainmoor because our fans are doing exactly the same. Just sing, sing and encourage and if we get mullered on the pitch then so be it. Just do it.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Cunningly disguised though as a question without a question mark! If it had merely been titled 'Knill Out 16' I wouldn't have opened it. ;-)

Although credit where credit is due,

It is nice of AK and the club to have the temerity to go on the OS and announce "We really should beat Witheridge"!
I suppose at least he didn't say it felt like a win but wasn't actually.

If you really want to know what's happened or indeed how the players throughout the club at every level feel about AK
therein lies your answer.

With respect, I wish and really want to believe that but my "source" (at cleaner level I might add!) says it won't happen any time soon.

Why tomorrow?? What makes tomorrow's defeat so different?

Agree - what would be the point? The perfect time would have been after Scunny and then have two weeks to sort something out. A defeat tomorrow will just confirm what we already know and then to sack him then, would obviously go against the bizarre masterplan that Matt 12% of voters or whatever it was, that persisting with him.

If they lose tomorrow, it really is untenable but then it was last time, and had they sacked him before, they could avoid, what is likely to be an unpleasant atmosphere tomorrow, should they lose.

Not happening guys ... no way he's coming down here, he'd like to think he can get a better job having just won this league - he also despises his firefighter label! Only if we offered him a small fortune would we see him here - though i agree he's ideal lol
ALAN KNILL'S YELLOW ARMY !!! - Oh wait ...
