Bodin and Harding

Post by ferrarilover »

I asked this question of a couple of my gang last night and we couldn't really agree on an answer.

I know it's a bit of a funny question, tough to answer, if you like...

If Bodin and Harding were fit for Saturday, would they get back into the side? How would you fit them in? Who misses out?

Matt.

A 'No Brainer' for me. I wouldn't change the side that played on Tuesday night. Harding and Bodin have to win back their places.

Harding for Mansell. Why wait until January for him to build up an understanding with Mozika in that instance?

Forum etiquette question: why did you quote my post? I don't mind, you understand, this isn't a 'forum police' issue, I'm just wondering.

Also, you and I came to the same conclusions, which gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, if I'm honest with you.

That's a bloody big call, R. WerE you not impressed by Manse last night, or did he not do enough to undo his less impressive showings from the last few weeks?

Must confess I didn't see him last night. Was just going on what I've seen before this season. I have a feeling as the season goes on without a contract renewal, and January will be a key time, we might see both Nico (highly likely, if not before) and Manse off to pastures new.

That depends on how the game is progressing, who needs replacing, etc.....

No Matt. You know full well why you get that warm fuzzy feeling. And it's nothing to do with coming to conclusions. Well not that sort of coming anyway.

I would keep the same team. If Bodin was selected, presumably Craig would be dropped and I thought he was our best player on Tuesday. I cannot imagine Mansell would be leaving in January but he was OK this week. He has not necessarily been our worst player.

Assuming the 11 that started on Tuesday are fit I would stick with them and look at changing the bench, replacing Cameron with Bodin and maybe McCourt with Harding? That is of course assuming they have impressed enough in training to warrant kicking the other two out of the squad entirely.
Whether they then get on the pitch depends on how the game is going, how the players are performing and whether any injuries happen or tiredness creeps in that requires either of them to be put on.

Agreed, assuming everyone's fit same team, we need a settled side, and following on from AK keeping faith with Ricey, he should do the same with other players.

Keep the same side and give them another few games to impress. Harding could be used as a sub but I wouldn't want him to start after being out with injury, he needs gradual introduction. Bodin used sparingly as a sub if all hope is lost. Again because he has been out with injury and in both cases we don't want the team disrupting again.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Knill won't be thinking of leaving Mansell out as he is the engine room and Mosika is just getting by at the moment. Craig if he's got his head screwed on could become a key player in the shape of the side as we are seeing crosses from him where Chapell is more of an extra striker. Bodin if fit is a good option if things go pear shape, and to make changes as I've said in a previous post there is only one position that I would change. The team has only just jelled for the first time this season and it won't do any harm to make Bodin and Harding wait.
