I think Alex makes a good point, although I'm sad to see Benyon and Wroe leave, I'm relatively happy with the quality of player we've replaced them with, just as long as we can get another winger in. Zebs and Stevens are the kind of players that need real competition to keep them at their best, which is illustrated that neither of them really have been for the last couple of games. I'd love to see someone a bit more tricky come in, as opposed to the classic TUFC loan winger, which seems to be fast and little else....

Unfortunately, there aren't really many variations of winger that come down to L2. Young ones tend to be pacy with much potential but not much skill at crossing, older ones tend to be slower but can swing in a decent ball. It's quite hard to find a decent mix of both as they'll get snapped up higher in the food chain. I would like to see someone similar to Carlisle again, just without the knee problems.
Luke.

I'm pleased about this, I believe he is taller than benyon so now we can lump it upfield and he may win a few ;-)

This is possibly part of the wroe deal too?

Very pleased with this - it's about as good a replacement as we could get for Benyon on such short notice, and he can slot straight into the team tomorrow. Hopefully he's shows commitment and makes an impression here, and it gives us time to have a look at him before deciding if he fits into our long term plans.

hi guys,
a brief visit to your board frm a shrews season ticket holder!
ive seen Robinson for a couple of seasons just about. it would be fair to say that the majority of shrews fans will be sorry to see him go. Had his issues last year which was due to a fall out with the previous manager after we were dumped out of the fa cup.
New manager gave him a chance and he has proved he has an eye for goal, dangerous outside the box as well as inside. He is small and not the best in the air, hes not strong either, however he has played up front on his own for us and his skill has been the hold up key rather than strength.
personally i would still have him in our team but i believe something has gone on behind the scenes with him! he comes across quite childish and very unprofessional with his tweeting. However at times his skill level is beyond anyone on the pitch and makes defenders look silly. he is an effective right winger too.., but hes not always the hardest of workers if things arent going right for him.
i believe he will do a good job for you and return a goal every other game if not better. i would have him back here anytime and believe our manager has made a mistake here.
Good luck to him and se you all next month

Differences being he appears to be more skillful and quick, but downsided with a potential attitude problem? Let's hope he grasps a new challenge and we get the best out of him.

Sounds good to me

Hopefully get a few more people through the turnstiles. Always good to watch and exciting player - which Benyon def was not.

I'd add to that 'not always the hardest of workers if things aren't going for him'. Not something that could be levelled at Benners, who worked his socks off from minute 1, every time he took to the field.

That sounds promising Richinns, pretty sure I read on the Shrewsbury forum that his contract runs out at the end of the season.
Apologies if I've got that wrong or if it has already been said.

After just reading his wiki page, he is indeed 5ft 7 but no I don't think this makes me crazy- it was just down to not knowing!

Which I believe I covered with "a potential attitude problem".
In my mind there's no doubt he'll add a bit of quality to what Benyon had and given the service Benyon had dare I say it but a few more chances taken ;-)
