If I were a Director....

Post by nickbrod »

....I would be seriously wondering what's going on. To date Knill's been given every support especially with our loan signings but today's inept performance should start alarm bells ringing.
Matches at home against Chesterfield and Argyle will show whether the team is good enough or not. A cup run is clearly not within our capabilities, such a shame with all the additional finance being a big incentive.

In answer to the OP, to be fair I am pretty sure the board are well aware and keeping a close eye on things, personally said it a few times, sacking Alan Knill is the easy answer, is it the right one ? Can the club afford to do it ? And as said before I am well aware of what relegation would cost in terms of income, and sure the board do as well.

....and able to pick the team I'd go for a back four of O'Connor, Downes, Pearce and Cruise.

Wholeheartedly agree with the suggested back four - Nicholson and Tonge increasingly looking liabilities and both were dreadful today.

hence my sugesstion for 3-5-2.

at least pearce, o'connor and downes would be solid - and the extra one in midfield cant fail to help.......... :}

Wing backs tho? would we then need to play with wing backs? do we possess these?

Still it worked for Wigan!

Tongue was hopeless today, but he;s been alright in the main. Certainly a threat going forward. No need to replace him. It's Nico we need to sub off. How many more goals are going to have to come down hiss side before someone somewhere does something about it?

Matt.

It sure did!! and to be honest, its not that difficult - cruise and tonge would be fine and of course manse could cover if tonge went forward...............
