Good idea, wonder what the administration costs would be to run this, and would enough of our fans play it, to make it viable.

Wouldn't need to be just Gulls fans; the wider South Devon community would probably take part in this, knowing that it supports something local (unlike the Health Lottery, which is of no benefit at all locally).

I love this sort of accusatory thread. "Why can't Torquay do this, why can't they do that, why is our club so shit". For **** sake, we're Torquay United, we've got a staff of three men and a dog. We can't be innovating new revenue streams every 5 minutes. Well done to Posh, but then, why don't they have a credit card, or a fan-loan system, or a method of selling season tickets online. Jesus Christ.

If you want to set it up, administrate it, run it, ensure compliance with legal and moral obligation and the million and one other things which will be required, then you go right ahead. If, after all that, you want to donate the funds to the club, then we'll thank you for it.

Matt.

To be fair Matti think you're being a bit unkind on GS. Before I knew about the lack of infrastructure around the club in terms of staff and finances I often accused the club of not doing this and not doing that. Now I have an understanding of where we're at I totally get it now why lots of things and ideas are not practical and I'm not so hard on them. Maybe GS is not familiar with how things are run to a certain extent and was just throwing something out there?

Anyway, whose is the dog? Can't he answer the phones? :)
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

So how many new revenue streams have been initiated at Plainmoor over the past five years? If my state of health permitted, I should be glad to lend a hand with something like this, but it really needs somebody younger and more energetic, such as Ferrarilover obviously is! I have a feeling it would not be so difficult and time-consuming, and that organisations such as the one running the Posh lotto site would probably do all the legal and technical donkeywork. Just a thought. Worth looking into at least..
