Noticed Director Cris Boyce sitting next to an Oriental looking gentleman in Bristows on Saturday-potential investor perhaps?

the fact is we are not the only team with not much money, most of all the clubs in the country are in the same boat and all living above their means, i can see many clubs going down the swanny over the next 10 - 20 years. sad but true!

Guaranteed this same statement was made 20 years ago as well, and we're still here.ROADRUNNER wrote:the fact is we are not the only team with not much money, most of all the clubs in the country are in the same boat and all living above their means, i can see many clubs going down the swanny over the next 10 - 20 years. sad but true!

Thing is, living beyond your means 20 years ago meant owing £10,000. Today, it often means owing £500,000,000 or more, which is clearly more money than could ever reasonably be paid back.

Are you sure you mean 5 billion. That's an awful lot of money.ferrarilover wrote:Thing is, living beyond your means 20 years ago meant owing £10,000. Today, it often means owing £500,000,000 or more, which is clearly more money than could ever reasonably be paid back.

It's quite feasible that Bristol City could be joining division 4 next season.....and they currently have £41 million of debt and yet still can "afford" a 30 strong squad of proffessionals....just shows how bad things can get !
For various reasons football clubs are rarely taken to task by creditors or the HMRC.....and until someone decides in Govenment that things with football clubs seriously have to change you will see the same story just getting worse

Andy, you run your own business! I know you don't often deal with numbers that large, but you've mistaken five hundred million for five billion and that is worrying. Time for a cup of tea and forty winks.Glostergull wrote: Are you sure you mean 5 billion. That's an awful lot of money.

Could we genuinely afford to sack him if things are still bad in "x" amount of time? (I'm not saying he should be sacked, just a question.)wodger of awabia wrote:Dear Board of Directors,

could we at least have a fans forum session, where a few things could be clarified and explained, or at least put into perspective, because there seems to be no clear plan of action or direction as long as people keep it civil it would be an idea.
or is facing questions from the fans ( paying customers) something that the parties involved wouldnt fancy.

We can't afford to sack him now, let alone in a few games time.

Dear Board of Directors,
There are four league games left this month, how many points out of the twelve does Knill need to save his job? Are you already looking for a new manager that knows what he is doing?

This is why we can't have a fans forum.
