Is there no chance of Pearce being ready by Saturday? If not, I'd assume it'll be Cruise and either Hutchings next to him or possibly Tonge (with Manse going to RB)?

Andy, the youth team keeper Dan Lavercombe was on the bench against Rochdale so I assume he'll be promoted to the squad again against Wycombe.

Of course you could say he identified loads but they refused to come which is fair enough but he is paid to get them here when needed and get them playing. Simply having a list of players doesn't get the job done. He could ask Wayne Rooney if he wants but there isn't any possibility he would come down so it's just semantics.

I accept the more forgiving liberal views on this scenario and they do make sense but my realistic side just tells me that this should not be happening, it is too hilarious for words and is another calamity from our manager that didn't need to be. I'm sure if he had stuck Hutchings at the back and we got beat by York then nobody would have blamed Knill in the slightest. Likewise at Wycombe. He got O'Connor in and we still got hammered so why all the hassle of getting a loanee in asap? Give Hutchings a go, it can't get any worse and he may just surprise. Ling gave McKenzie the gig at Vale on his debut when we were desperate and it paid off. Never in my life would I be saying that Ling has taken more of gamble than Knill!
The difference is that Ling knew what he was doing before he got poorly.

It's a shame if Craig was called up by Wales as last season, we would not be in this position as we would have three players on international duty. Another situation a club like us should not be in as I think Mr Knills got blinkers on.

Do yourself a favour and do not rise or respond to Arcadia, it's not possible for any normal person, even someone like myself who struggles with spelling and grammar, to write that much utter stupidity in such a short 2 and bit line post. The poster is more than likely a wind up merchant, ignore and they will go away.

I don't understand the post, Dave, so you've done better than I.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Yes your right but I am fed up that a player who is on the bench and not used could help the squad get out of this mess. I'm not trying to wind anyone up I've just tried to get Craig recognised. Ling played him about twenty times, he can shoot, pass and take dangerous corners. He was played wide by Knill and looked uncomfortable out there. In the middle where Ling played him he could go both ways and looked better.

Did Ling play him in the middle? Certainly under Taylor I seem to remember him playing wide right a lot of the time...??

I think you will find that Ling played him wide right and not in the middle.

That is correct SBP, Nathan Craig was only ever played once in the centre of middle field by Martin Ling, that was during Lee Mansell's suspension after he was sent off.

Nathan Graig since 2009 has only ever been called up 4 times for Wales U-21, so blaming Alan Knill for us not be able to call the game off Saturday, is just beyond a joke really, who was to say Wales would have called up him anyway.

Ling played 5 in midfield Craig played better in the centre. I'm not saying Ling did not play him wide what I'm saying he is more effective in the middle.

Lingy only ever played Nathan Graig in the centre in one match, stop banging on, to late, you have already shafted your own argument.

I tried to explain it's my opinion and several others where I watch that he is beter in the middle and has played more than one game I'm not trying to make false statements.

I thought Craig played more than once in the middle last season but by Christmas he was on the wing - in fact the right wing away at Plymouth and for a few games afterwards.
