How weird. I don't like criticising the club, but I actually thought that particular article was a little bit too casual. Appreciate the attempt at humour - not taking themselves too seriously, but do wonder how the player felt about having his signature reported in such a manner. Not quite the fanfare he might have expected!

To be honest Shane, I do not think the lad would have given a monkeys how his signing was annouced, At first I wondered wether it was having a dig at us fans, however I guess it was meant as a bit of fun, so fair play to to the media lad for doing somthing different from the normal boring official media annoucments you get.

Yes, people need to do things differently once in a while and be individual. So long as you're not Michael Barrymore then i'm sure most people will appreciate the deviation. I reckon this lad is a top bloke.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

You're probably right Dave. It's good to show they don't take themselves too seriously. Just thought it a bit light-hearted for a signing announcement.

I think it should be taken as it was intended to be ... Light hearted !! It goes to show that the club don't take themselves to seriously and have a good sense of humour. At the end of the day we are being applauded for doing so. It might have been different if we were being criticised.

I'm absolutely delighted, that's brilliant. Tim, of course, is having a pop at this forum for the whinging and moaning directed at the club for not signing anyone and not keeping us 'up-to-date' (as if any other business keeps the general public abreast of its dealings, especially confidential things like headhunting). Still, v amusing and perfectly acceptable. Kudos Tim.

I definitely see this as positive exposure for the club. Maybe if everyone was a little more like this, the world would be a slightly more agreeable place.

Moan moan grumble grumble.
Mmmmmm, beeeeeeeer.

Take note all other clubs! And still people f***king moan, this just proves beyond a point that no matter what the club do or how they do it there will always be muppets that just want to have a moan!
Well done Tim, well done TUFC and shame on some of or so called fans!

What a strange post. I see 8 replies congratulating the club/tim for this article, a one small throw away comment from Fonda, who I do know personaly and is the last person who would say anything remotely bad about our club.

So no need for anyone to jump to high on the horse here to be honest.

Nice to make your aquaintance 'geezer'. I, evidently am a muppet.

Very satisfied that having been outvoted on the merits of this article, it obviously was in fact inspired. Not to my personal taste though, which I thought I was allowed to express.

Oh yeah, and thanks Dave. :)
