Seems a decent bloke but his footballing philosophy disappeared in the flood water around Noah's Ark. What went on between him and the club is their business, everything turned out ok in the end and the board salvaged a tiny modicum of respect from the fans so i don't see what he has to say. There are no excuses, no mitigating factors - ill or not - we still nearly went down because of his negativity.
I think i'll stick on my Idiot Abroad DVD instead if it's all the same.

Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Well if it's a toss up between watching Lingy or snooker then roll on Martin. :~D
You have to be clinically deceased to want to watch snooker.

Oh my good gawd, Martin Ling is an out of work football manager who has been offered a few bob to do some T.V pundit work. He will be asked about Torquay no doubt, his reply will be something along the lines of it did not end how he expected he is dissapointed etc, etc, but thats all you will get.
Martin Ling would be beyond foolish to dish the dirt or go into to details here, that would be un-professional and just a tad pathetic. Remember we do not not actually know if his time off was down to any real illness, if the rumour about him liking one to many drinks is true (not saying it is)and thats why he was off work from Torquay, then Lingy having his say on T.V would give Torquay United the right to have their say and Martin Ling might not work in football again.
This situation really does not take that much figuring out does it.

Yeah, bigger fool him if he does. He's on the programme to pass comment on today's League 2 play-off games.

So this the Martin Ling who was so unwell that he couldn't speak to his chairman, couldn't speak to his second in command and three months later he is on the tele. Thats a hell of a recovery.

There are some skeletons which will leap out of the cupboard if he goes public against his former employers!
That would probably mean he would never get another management job in football.
I do not expect him to do so, however, because he will almost certainly be bound by a compromise agreement.

He doesnt look to happy!
It will be on BBC iplayer, I don't know how to put just the interview

What a terrible show. Waste of time if you're a Torquay fan.
as for what Martin said... nothing much really.
Saying he had a statement read to him down the phone.
Says he felt kicked in the guts and that certain assurances were made whilst he was ill and they were not kept. Hes been recovered for 5 weeks.
Wouldn't waste my time searching for it on Iplayer.

He didn't really open up anything new. He's clearly angry/upset by what happened. And our club didn't come across well in the interview (for some good reason regarding the phone sacking) but he was mainly there to try and prove to future employers that he is fit and well and available for work.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...
No I agree it wasn't anything special... was quite funny how he stared awkwardly at the camera for about 20 seconds before they talked about him getting sacked
