However if you pay attention you will see that I am continuing my one man protest about having 5 MOMs..

You're not choosing 5 though and neither is anyone else, it's just a criteria for selecting the best one player over a season. I struggled to find a fifth player worthy of naming from yesterday and found it a toss-up between Bevan and Mansell as they were the only ones left who were not a disappointment in my opinion. Bevan had very little to do, Mansell was quiet by his standards, but I felt we dominated them in midfield for most of the game and it certaibly wasn't down to Wroe who needs a spell on the bench for me, just to stop him thinking he's irreplaceable, he needs to work harder at his game and is a shadow of the player we know he can be, has been for some time in my view. Stevens showed glimpses of what we know he can do, leaving Nicholson exposed being a glaring example. Gritton was poor, Robbo was average (at one point he lost an aerial challenge to a player who was then beaten comfortably by Eunan). That's how I came to my decision on who to vote for, as for the order, it was a toss-up between O'Kane and Branston, with the Pickler winning it for me with his superb second half display when I was worried we were going to throw away a point we more than deserved. Eunan was a worthy second place in my order. Then it was easily Ellis and Zebs for the following two slots, both worked very hard all game and put in a good shift.
So, 5 are asked for, and 5 I gave, simples !!

That s my point. It dilutes the award. I m only interested in outstanding performances. It is too much like the dumbing down of exam results until everyone is a winner and everyone is a graduate. At TVU they have courses in hairdressing FFS.
The fifth best performance is average, no matter how good it is.
Are the points weighted as in Formula 1? If they are then there could be some basis for selecting 5, but until that is confirmed I will vote for no more than 3.
You are just being a conformist SG....

It's not diluting the award at all in my opinion, it's rewarding consistency, which is surely what the award is all about?
Me a conformist? First time for everything I guess

Pleased to see Eunan is getting up there in those lists. I always thought he had potential about him and it seems as if now he is coming of age and getting some decent form behind him.
Maybe one day, Carayol will find London...
