A battle cry.

Post by Plymouth Gull »

I admit that there've been times where I've thought we're down and that was it. But we came back with wins against Chesterfield and York and decent points at Dagenham and Southend. We have 4 games left now, 4 cup finals, to ensure that we stay in the Football League now. Forget what has happened. Forget today.

Lets all group together to try and urge the team to 2 wins that will see us safe again. I know the table looks bleak, but it could be worse, couldn't it? We were in much worse in 2006 and we somehow pulled it out of the bag. This year it literally is 2 from 7/8 who could easily drop out, and the club will need all the help we can give them. Ask questions once all is confirmed - if we go down I will be one of the first who wants to know how the club and board let it happen, but until then, hold it in, and support the club.

If you can get yourselves to Gillingham on Saturday - I know its a long way but we've been here before, and we've come through it all together. I remember being one of the 350/400 who made the journey to Carlisle in 06, something like that would be miraculous. Get yourself down to Plainmoor for a huge game against Barnet in 2 weeks, that one is massive.

This post doesn't have a lot of direction but the gist of it is that if you can get yourself to a game or two now then do it, the club needs you more than ever. We mustn't let relegation happen again, we've no excuse now!

Good stuff Nick. There's no way i can get for the home games but i'm trying hard to get to Gillingham which is quite a way for me, pretty inaccessible and it's near the biggest mess on the planet. I will DEFINATELY be at Morecambe should we still be in trouble and will have to delay my holiday which given the amazing weather we're having might be a good thing. So Gills i'm trying really hard to generate the money and deffo Morecambe. I honestly do now finally believe that we will be relegated and i am perusing the BSP table as we speak looking for games i can get to next season but like you say, it is still possible so we'll have to wait and see and hope and pray. COYY!!!!!

COYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

Well, I definitely cant make the Barnet game as the wife is away.

Gillingham is too soon for me to plan for. That leaves Morecambe or Brizzle Rovers.

If (and thats a big if) I was to get to the Morecambe game I would have to fly into Manchester on the Saturday and train it to the ground....no idea how much that would cost, then stay overnight and get the flight back on the Sunday. That would probably cost me a fair packet.

Brizzle game may be a bit more feasible, however I see that game selling out before I am able to confirm I can go.

Maybe it would be cheaper for you to hire a rowing boat or maybe nick one from the boatyard ( ooops , sorry , forgot you used to be a copper! ).

Bugger!

I realised as soon as I saw 'SuperNickyWroe' posted on this topic that I had left myself open to the inevitable insult.

Well played, good sir. Well played.

I'll be at Gillingham. I'll be singing although I guess it won't make much use with no roof above our heads. Nothing but positive support. I'll be on the back step and hope to see as many of you at Gills.

Much prefer the away matches as the support is normally a lot better than at home. A lot more focused on the team and not certain individuals in the pop.
