Muzzy Resurfaces

Post by yellow »

Did a bit of Jeff Stelling watching today. Sad but true.

And blow me down. Muzzy is playing for Boro in the Championship.

I knew he was good, despite what his detractors on here were saying. O.K. so his geography hasn’t improved much but you can’t have everything....

Did we get a sell on payment from Lincoln?

Yellow me old mate, long time no see, are you well ? Muzzy moved to Boro back in the summer, he has been injured most of the season, no real surprise there.

Not a case of detractors mate, just plain old honesty, he was an enigma for us, of his time with us 50% injured, 40 % crap, 10 % showed us brief glimpses of the player he would become.

Forza old bean

I see that you joined this illustrious forum 25 minutes before me. You always were slightly ahead  , although not such a good judge of players.

So answer the question. Did we get a sell on or not?

Our sell on clause was with Lincoln, so I would say the answer to that would be no, as for judging players I am first class.

Did you see the 2 goals conceeded by Crewe, first glaring error by Mark Ellis, second penalty conceeded by, yep you guessed it, Mark Ellis. They are going to style a super hero on Ellis, to be known as Capt cock up... :)

Just seen the goals from last nights Football League show, always intrested in what former Players are doing.
Branston now the rock in Argyles defence,Carayol running down the wing at Middlesbrough, Eunan playing well at Bournemouth (subbed early on, on Friday) Ellis playing every week at Crewe and Wembley bound next week in the JPT final.

Glaring error by Ellis? he blocked the ball off the line and it fell to Soares! Penalty conceeded by Ellis? what highlights did you see, doesnt look like Ellis made a challenge on anyone!

Not sure if he was at fault for the first, but he was involved in the penalty

Still looking raw and error-prone.

Saw the highlights very quickly on s-s-n, it did look like a hashed clearence attempt for the first by Ellis, having seen it back on the video Ellis gets a bit unlucky there, however did not cover himself in much glory, you can tell by his (Ellis) reaction he could have done better.

You have the cheek to ask me what hightlights I saw, then tell me Ellis did not challenge anyone for the penalty, what highlights did you see kb ? Ellis clearly push's over the Bury player, what makes it worse the Bury lad was going nowhere, having seen that video and quite a few others of Crewe during the season. Think Ellis has just reminded me this season that is still prone to school boy error's and reminded me why I and a few others thought he was the over-rated peoples champion at Torquay.

What does liking him have to do with my rating of him as a player?

I never overly rated him and thought that whilst we've had worse players, we have had a lot better as well.

You're both wrong, Mark isn't at fault for either goal. He does the right thing by getting on the line for the first one, ball hits him and he can't possibly dictate where it goes after than and for the penno, the bloke on the ground trips the runner long before Mark gets an arm anywhere near him. The geezer is half way down to ground by the time Mark thrown out an arm.
He's scored a bunch of goals this year, but does seem to have made a number of silly errors for Crewe (maybe I'm just looking for him?)

Also, Yellow, Muzzy has been at Boro for months, have you been under a rock or something?

It would appear so FL  . I had even forgotten about his interim stay at the Gasheads with Gollum.

I guess it was mentions of him on Sky (I think that he hit the bar at one point) that brought back fond memories of his potential, and the important role that he played in staving off relegation a few seasons back.

Ashley Barnes is another forum ‘no hoper’ doing well in the Championship.
