too late for a new striker for tonight??

Post by bixieupnorth »

looks as tho nothings gonna happen on that front in time for the dagenham game tonight

how many bookings is rene away from another suspension, he got another yellow on saturday? with bodin going to be off for two games for international duty we are gonna be so short of misfiring forwards if rene does get suspended??

perhaps saah and downes should have a go as target man??

bradford and fleetwood scarves at the ready for tonight!! gonna be a nervy one, if they could both just do as badly as us then i'd be happy moving on to saturday, one game less and all that??
still keeping the faith

I think any new players need to be registered by mid-day on the day before a match, or 24 hours before. Either way it's too late fr tonight.
Hopefully we might pick someone up on the way though, may find some random player in the services...

Bix, the thread should be titled, 'too late for a new striker for this season' mate. I simply cannot believe we've been after a striker since January and only managed to bring in Benyon who doesn't fit in with our style of play anyway so technically we haven't added anyone. I simply don't care now if we bring anyone in or not as if we do they are highly likely to be sh*t and it's just too little too late to have any effect whatsoever. Our only hope is by changing our tactics, outlook and personnel to accommodate the fringe players like Cruise, Leadbitter and now Craig and stick pace and attack minded Macklin and Thommo on from the start. Our survival has to come from what we have and i'll say it again to Mr Knill incase you are reading as Ling clearly didn't, use what we have properly and that means using our attackers in a positive set up to cause the opposition problems and to get us out of our own f*cking half. Fanny about tonight with tippy tappy see what happens in the first 30 minutes approach and it's a loss. I'm sure that 90% of the fans who turn up tonight on what is a bitter day will appreciate losing should we have a real crack at winning the game from the off. Hey, we might even win and start off a trend. We won't know if we don't try. So it's up to you Knill, lose playing the Ling way or lose playing the right way, i know which one i'd prefer.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.
