Hi guys. We were up there at the weekend and to say that Walsall had a larger gate than normal was an understatement to say the least.. We reckon there were close to 12 or 1300 there.
It seemed that Matt Littissier had paid for 200 odd supporters from Guernsey to come over for the match.
It wasn't quite a classic match but there was some good play from both teams. much as you would expect from this level. The stadium. If you can call it that(It's a dump) is in a pretty run down area and the field next door is still flooded and the whole bowl looks like a bomb site. Mind you it is possible that it's the village pond. You could see all the match from the leisure centre next door. as it raised up several feet above Walsall Woods. We were setting up for a toy fair there the following day. The whole centre was jammed solid with parked cars. Mind you it's entirely possible we could end up playing them one day, God forbid.
The best bit is the Chicken establishemnt run by a certain millitary person (so they advertise him as) next door which is the closest thing they get to a refreshment bar.
The Home supporters are pretty miffed they drew Guernsey. With a reply now on no one can afford to travel there for the replay.
