Official Site Spin Doctors

Post by hector »

Who writes the tripe that appears on the website? Do they think we are stupid with the bizarrely ultra positive spin they place on things?

Last week it was the notion that there is still 'over quarter of a season left' so...hey, no panic!

Now, with the usual ridiculous two or three worded headline that means absolutely sod all, 'Rene and Partner', by all accounts the Rene/Benyon partnership has shown signs of flourishing.

What?

Exactly what has the author of this nonsense based this on? Could it be the TWO goals in the last SEVEN games that suddenly make the author think we have a prolific foward line now? One of the goals was Jarvis anyway and the other was Bodin. I am fed up of looking at that page and hoping for some proper news only to be greeted by the crap that is spouted trying to make this awful situation seem harmless.

I'll get someone sticking in the size 10's for being negative hector but totally agree. The website is a total joke, it's a nightmare to navigate and it contains nothing of interest and i barely visit. The only real positive for me is the new online ticketing service, it is efficient and welcome. Oh, and unlike the OS, it has a purpose and serves it well.
Strangely enough it was Pope Gregory the 9th inviting me for drinks aboard his steam yacht, the saucy sue currently wintering in montego bay with the England cricket team and the Balanese Goddess of plenty.

They're not in the semis yet - got the replay against Walsall Wood at home this Saturday to worry about first.

No, I've not been to see them - usually attracts about 1000 each home game, but season tickets are expensive, "on the gate" tickets are too....got no money, and would rather spend it on the Gulls anyway!!
I guess I'm just like those Torquay based guys who don't watch Torquay!!

Hi guys. We were up there at the weekend and to say that Walsall had a larger gate than normal was an understatement to say the least.. We reckon there were close to 12 or 1300 there.
It seemed that Matt Littissier had paid for 200 odd supporters from Guernsey to come over for the match.
It wasn't quite a classic match but there was some good play from both teams. much as you would expect from this level. The stadium. If you can call it that(It's a dump) is in a pretty run down area and the field next door is still flooded and the whole bowl looks like a bomb site. Mind you it is possible that it's the village pond. You could see all the match from the leisure centre next door. as it raised up several feet above Walsall Woods. We were setting up for a toy fair there the following day. The whole centre was jammed solid with parked cars. Mind you it's entirely possible we could end up playing them one day, God forbid.
The best bit is the Chicken establishemnt run by a certain millitary person (so they advertise him as) next door which is the closest thing they get to a refreshment bar.
The Home supporters are pretty miffed they drew Guernsey. With a reply now on no one can afford to travel there for the replay.
