Thanks for that link Nick. Hell I'm a poet and I know it. lol
Anyway I looked it up on Amazon and just bought one for the princely sum of 1P. plus £2.80 P&P.
That seems a little steep but offset by being practically given it.

Could TUFC not negotiate with the BBC to use clips from Radio Devon commentary? Or would needless red tape somehow prevent it? What about getting Dave Saunders or whoever to moonlight for the project by recording a narrative?

I daresay the small prospective sales revenue would make the whole thing unfeasible in any case :'(

i have this book and i do exactly the same thing.best season ever. great football, :-D some good footballers and a few decent ones a coach/manager  managed to get the best out of. also have hundreds of programmes i look at occasionally which bring back great memories even from some average seasons. :) a yearly dvd review would be a great idea.i thought the club had a guy who films every match for training purposes, they could make a dvd from the recordings and either play the footage to music ala' soccer am or have someone from the club provide a retrospective commentary like a lot of dvd extras have.

Not if you're from Devon! :keepie:

I wouldn't mind it but I really find it hard to enjoy David Thomas and his ramblings.

Haha, like you say, that year was rammed with great memories. Around 1,500 Gulls travelling to watch us hammer Yeovil on their own patch, Cheltenham away which remains the best performance I have ever seen live, Kevin Hill's magic overhead against Macc at Plainmoor, and of course Southend on the Final Day! Incredible scenes.

I firmly believe that I just set a new world record for Fastest Amazon Order. Cheers Nick.

I am obsessed with that season - it contains many of the best moments of my life so far.

What book? Tell me, tell me, tell me. :~D

I wouldn't mind buying one! Heck, I wouldn't mind helping them make it if the previous versions are that bad!!

I think I would buy one. I imagine they could be quite popular, especially as stocking fillers for the many exiles we seem to have...

I'd buy a season review DVD. Obviously this seasons i'd use as a sleeping aid with a cup of horlicks but i'd quite like to buy them. After all, it's memories. I'm not sure how much outlay it would cost to make them but i reckon they could sell them at £15 or £20 a pop and they would go down quite well ( a bit like Argyle  ).

Would you buy one then?

I would have thought this is something that should be negotiated as part of the TV deal so that clubs can sell a professionally put together DVD for an extra revenue stream.
