Have to disagree about players having a second job, as long as that job doesn't not effect that players ability to train and perform for the club then it's fine why shouldn't a player have the opportunity to top up his wages, and it's not up to us fans to decide that, it's up the manager.

Herbalife or working as a personal trainer are unlikely to affect a players ability as a footballer for us, therefore I have no problem with it, and I imagine CH is the same otherwise he wouldn't allow it to happen.

Berry came to us and we offered him no permanent contract and therefore we allowed this to happen. He's been offered a better wage (I would imagine), playing at a higher level with a full time deal - he has every right to accept this contract as most people would in any other workplace. I wish him good luck.

Tonge's status as I understand it : injured & needs an operation. The 'second job' is usually the 'safety net' that will go from 'pottering' status to full-time when their football career is over..unless they can get into coaching &/or management/sports commentary.

I really think we need to get a grip on this. Players need to be told they work for Torquay United only. We seem to have more and more players with second jobs, whether it be selling 'Herbal Life' or moonlighting as personal trainers. It should not be allowed. Concentrate on the job you are paid to do as a full-time professional or bugger off.

His twitter profile shows him to be a personal trainer as well as a pro footballer.

Signed by Paul Buckle's Cheltenham.

Shame I guess, but it's hard to blame the lad for going for a certain length contract at a higher level than us.

HRMC and the DWP Stasi will be all over him like a rash if he comes into cash.

I'd go with that having seen him play on Saturday. Tidy little player.
