The greatest* football team the Clennon Valley 7-a-side ever saw!

*for a given value of "greatest".

Cyril Knowles, for me, the way he turned around perennial underachievers in one season & then followed it up with our first ever Wembley appearance was nothing short of miraculous.
God rest his soul, thank you Cyril for reinstating my belief in our club.

Cyril knowels for me in my lifetime thus far , though credit also to Stuart Morgan for signing some immense players like lee Sharpe, mcnichol, Dobson , Tom Kelly and some others.
Cyril took the squad and put in a few hardmen, and transformed them from basement laughing stock to promotion challengers and indeed the first Wembley appearance was special. God bless him

You`re quite right Plainmoor78, I did not recall our earlier achievements winning a couple District titles, thanks. Now if you can tell me who the manager(s) was/were I`ll be really impressed.

Although we did lose the Southern League final so this will be our first title win in senior professional football.
