Racine has ruptured not just his crutiate ligament but also his anterior crutiate ligament in his right knee and is not expected to be fully fit till at least the middle of next season.

Massive blow for Aaran and TUFC :-/

Article also mentions Rooney returning to Millwall. Shame we couldn't keep him for a third month.

I'm fairly sure Aaran Racine was on loan until the end of the season. As a matter of interest, will we be responsible for his wages, or will FGR, his home club, be responsible? Yes - it is a shame that Rooney has returned to Millwall. He showed last Saturday, and the games he was drafted in as a right back, that he is a very promising player. Best wishes to both Racine and Rooney for the future.

He got injured in his first game at York on loan a few months ago and promptly returned to FGR. If FGR aren't paying his wages or best part of then it's a pretty amateurish managerial decision as he's clearly an injury risk. If FGR ARE paying his wages then it's a risk free signing and credit to Kev for going out and getting him.

Which way you look at it depends on the answer to the question asked by tomogull. Who is paying for him to be injured for the rest of the season? Torquay or Forest Green?

Dave, you should know the answer to that - the Club does not insure against the loss of a player from injury. It would be cripplingly expensive. The Club has the league's minimum insurance cover which only covers the cost of treatment. So, for instance, if the loan agreement is that we are responsible for his wages until the end of the season then it is our loss - he has become a very expensive white elephant.

I was being facetious, Phil.

It's just another thing that we can no longer afford and ultimately costs more in the long run.

Can anyone explain why the official Website has made no comment whatsoever on the injury sustained to Aarran Racine. Or have I missed it?

No news from TQ1 is the norm; not even any Fake News.
The club's gone into hibernation as we all await the inevitable.
And GI? Only as Elvis sang: GI Blues.
