Look, there's obviously only so much I can say, but the time has come for a pretty unpleasant truth to be brought as out into the open as can be (which, unfortunately, for the sake of lots of things, is not very).

Our choice is a stark one. The phrase, "between the Devil and the deep blue sea" is rarely as apt as it is about our club today.

As a fanbase, we should brace ourselves for the end of this week to bring one of two disappointing outcomes. Those of you holding out for a hero should know that the last of those ships sailed not less than 10 days ago. The remaining options are as unpleasant as they are inevitable. The lesser of two evils is ownership by a group with a dodgy reputation who have been widely discussed on this forum. The alternative is to do our best Plymouth Argyle impression. Yes, that means what you hope it doesn't. The white knights exited stage left, pursued by a bear. All that's left now is an early Blackadder piloting a lame nag to the glue factory.

In parting, a fitting epitaph:

"Do not stand by my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand by my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die."

Good luck, everyone.

Matt.

Yes, it looks inevitable. RIP the TUFC I have known and supported for almost 45 years.

Death in one fell swoop or death by a thousand cuts? It makes no difference really does it? The club is gone. GI will get their patch of land unless the council hold firm and enable a Phoenix club to take on Plainmoor.

How has it come to this?

We were in the bloody play-offs just 4 years ago, for the second year running, in the division above.

If it is GI, then I feel robbed. I bought a season-ticket under false pretences, as I never would have purchased one had I known about the falling into their ownership. Fans have been hoodwinked, conned almost.

Hang on. What's new? We've known all this for months. But I do feel that the current, so called 'fans' running the club, no matter how worthy they may believe themselves to be, have led us up the garden path with misleading statements and worse - silence.

Hang on....and please tell me if I'm wrong.

1) The Board are making an announcement on the 16th Dec.

2) Why would it be GI if they get the club at the end of January anyway if no new owners are found?

3) Masters can't run 2 football clubs at the same

4) I've heard the takeover is genuine with other owners.

Until Friday, keep biting those nails.

I appreciate Matt for being upfront in telling us to expect the worst. But why would GI take us over before the default deadline. The fact no one is aware of the proposed takeover, why would Matt know who they are. Until I receive the news, I'm remaining hopeful, whether I am foolish to believe this is my provocative. But until confirmed all these rumours are not helping, if it was our last game played last Saturday as suggested by hector, why extend a players loan.

1. Yes
2. Because if they wait that long there will be no club....we will be in administration by then
3. Correct - unless he hands over the reigns to another family member perhaps?
4. Great. Here's hoping....

Gday Aaron Hovey from downunder australia.
I heard Donald Trump is taking over the club like he is taking over the world.
Nah on a serious note who ever takes over the club the fans gotta believe on what there doing and come and support the boys in every way you can.
Like Bon Jovi said "you gotta keep the faith"
Go you yellows

Who's your source ferarrilover? Merse and SG? Because you're just repeating what they have said.
As anyone who has been on this forum long enough will know, he has something of a reputation for pretending to have inside knowledge.
15 replies so far will at least give that ego a good massage
