The best possible start to the summer. I wasn't expecting him to sign so quickly, if at all. He's an absolutely brilliant player for the level we're at, and in the position he plays you can quite literally build the team around him. A summer with Nicholson working on his fitness will do him the world of good as well.

We're 1/11th of the way to a good side

Great news. He's a really good player at this level, and hopefully the team will be built around him.

Massive news. Pleased.
1 of 4 key positions filled in the spine of the team.

If (and I am aware of the Blissett rumours re Wrexam) we can get Mcdonald, Moore and Bliss added to Youngy then that is as decent a foundation than more than most can boast of in this league

Big signing. His second half performance at Gateshead was really crucial in the great escape.

Excellent news in all ways. Might even encourage some others to sign as well.

Excellent news. But am I the only one who isn't surprised?

Two reason - firstly, he's a Devon lad born and raised. With Argyle and City unlikely to want him, we are always his next best option. Secondly - he's always struck me as being a decent bloke. The club stood by him throughout his rehab, I imagine Luke Young feels like he owes the club something now in return.

As has been said, hopefully this will be the catalyst for a few other key players signing on

Any idea if its a one or two year deal? I hope its two - I am expecting big things from him next season and expect him to be attracting a lot of attention by the end of the season. Great news - another coup for Nicho!

During his injury, I was almost expecting him to stay. If he had no intention of staying at the end of the season I doubt that the club would have kept him, and would have preferred paying him off. However, I am truly excited for next season after hearing about this. I just hope the rest of the team will be of good quality. On his day, Luke is much better than most midfielders in League 2. He is very calm on the ball and that rubs off on those around him, as shown in the last few games of last season. Also, he is a constant threat from set pieces, especially free kicks, something we have lacked all season really. Very happy with this news
