Midfielder Danny Racchi has signed until the end of the season.

According to the HE website:

'Racchi, who is eligible for the Trophy, started his career with Huddersfield Town and went on to play for Bury, York City, Kilmarnock for two years in the SPL and Valur in Iceland.

He has appeared for Hyde, FC Halifax Town and Tamworth this season before impressing in a recent training trial with United.'

Soccer Base doesn't have any details on his time with Hyde but assuming it is up to date for the rest of the season thus far, he has played only five times, and did not manage a full 90 minutes during his brief stint with Halifax. If he could not cement a place with Halifax or even Tamworth then you have to wonder just how much of an asset he could be for us. However, I'd love to be proven wrong. Also, Nicholson said that the budget wasn't there for him a few weeks back, surely he must be on minimal wages anyway? It gives a good indication of the state of our finances right now.

I doubt he will get home sick living in Halifax,

Played at this level and above, and the SPL. At least he should have a bit of experience about him, and fair play to him for taking a chance and moving away from his home to try and revive his career
