Two defenders signed in one day shows a massive lack of confidence in those already at the club. However, at least whoever it is making these signings (Ramshaw?) knows where our deficiencies lie.

I am stunned by this news, but very, very pleased. A fine player.
great news, a proper right back, as said above a chance to push Hurst forward in a 4-4-2, we'll see tonight. Despite most people thinking Ramshaw would certainly go when a new manager was appointed, beginning to wonder whether he's pitching for the job.

He made a big impact in his time here 12 months ago, so this is very welcome news. First and foremost he is a solid defender, and after conceding 7 at home we could do with a focus on that.
This also points to a 4-4-2 going forward as Hurst has been one of our better players recently (offensively at least).

Didn't he sign for Alfreton yesterday - having not played for anyone since May?

Don't know who you are, but a bit of research would tell you he signed on non contract terms with Alfreton on 19/9. He played one game. It appears he has now signed on CONTRACT terms with Torquay. Why are you so keen to talk down Torquay, this is a FANS forum?wbw wrote:Didn't he sign for Alfreton yesterday - having not played for anyone since May?
Think your right there Gullimtwo, the key is contract
