James Hurst
James Hurst
We've signed James Hurst, a 23 year old right-back.

He's already played for 11 different clubs. Another wanderer looking for a forever home - hopefully he's found it at Plainmoor...

And, 20 appearances at four different levels of England youth - impressive for us!

According to the Hednesford website we have paid an undisclosed fee for him.

Surprised to see us paying for a player. I know a lot of them have already been signed up but surely there are plenty of freebies about. I guess Cox and Deano feel this player is worth it

Didn't think much of Dawson and this guy looks like he's got some potential, wonder if Deano had a hand in this? Either way this is the calibre of signing we should be expecting and I look forward to seeing him play.
Personally not getting to excited about any sort of fee being paid for this player, it may well be nothing more than some nominal compensation. Another shrewd signing, a young player who could be developed and perhaps sold on, to make the budget more efficient maybe a centre back who can also fill in at full back could be a useful type signing.

Perhaps he'll do a Geoff Hurst for us when we get to Wembley, along with Rodney Marsh..

Well, he's highly rated at Conference North level, and is still young enough to develop. Hopefully we can be the settled home he's never had in his career and give him some stability to do this. Two good signings so far.
So it seems the boy is a very determined right-winger, http://www.torquayunited.com/news/artic ... 10312.aspx.

quite impressed by his initiative, honestly. Good to see him taking steps to contact us - should also mean that he's committed and will work hard.PhilGull wrote:So it seems the boy is a very determined right-winger, http://www.torquayunited.com/news/artic ... 10312.aspx.
