Some interesting attendance figures from yesterday.
Barrow- top of Conference North
Barrow v.Tamworth 2,758
Bromley - top of Conference South
Bromley v. Weston-S-M 2,938
Dulwich Hamlet - 4th Ryman Premier
Dulwich v. Maidstone (top Ryman Premier) 3,000
These are higher than 3 League 2 and 1 League 1 figures for yesterday!

Just big game syndrome to be fair Nickbrod, if you look at Bromley's home gates they tend to be anywhere between 500-1000 depending on who their playing, yesterday they had the chance to secure the conference south title and did, kind of explains the crowd, should imagine same applies to the others, although there's one more game still to play in the conference north as they have more teams in that division.

Next weekend, it will be worth looking out for the Poole Town v Corby Town attendance. Last day of the season and whoever wins will claim the title and promotion to Conference South.

Yesterday I "half heard" on MOTD 2 that the team finishing 14th. in the Prem will receive £140m in prize money next season, surely I am mistaken, did anyone else hear this?

That's not prize money - that'll be TV money + prize money. You get £1.2m per place, I think. The team that finishes dead last gets £1.2m, the winner gets £24m. Then each club gets a flat 'base' amount of TV money regardless of finish. Think it's something like £60m with the new deal (which is nuts, agreed), then they get money based on the number of live games they were in. that's £750,000 for each game, although the minimum for that is £7.5m - so if you have fewer than 10 live games you still get paid that latter figure. So I think the number you heard is inaccurate, although the money they do get is nuts.

That's why it's great for a club like Bournemouth, who can go up, lose every single game 5-0 and go back down with an addition £70m or so to build with (plus whatever extra they get from shirts, tickets, etc)

Not sure how accurate this is, but would suggest that the team finishing bottom next year receives the same as first place last year!

I noticed from looking at table of attendances this season we were sat 6th in the average column, which is good considering our performances and results.

I think this and the fact we are starting debt free would provide a good base for any potential new owner. If the new person can cut some costs, add a small amount of revenue from other streams and we should have a solid position to build from.

A couple of seasons of consolidation holding our own - which we should do as a pro club in this league - then we can build up foundations for the future and a sustained push for promotion.

I also noted that Eastleigh's attendances were up 126% on last year, which back up Southampton Gull's comments in other threads that Eastleigh are a growing club going places.
