I thought I'd start a thread for a bit of fun. This place is for us to share in the glory of the BBCs indescribably inaccurate reporting of events which don't concern the Premier **** League. Such is their contempt for anyone earning less than £300,000/week, they very often don't even get player's names right.

From the Braintree game alone:

"Ben Young struck a brace for Torquay"

and

"Andy Brown tries a through ball, but Andy Brown is caught offside."

That Andy Brown (whose real name is probably Simon Westfield, or something similar) must be **** quick, maybe we should look at signing him up?

Matt.

Terrible reporting that. They couldn't even get the name of the team we were playing right either ... I mean Braintree? WTF? :slap:

Nuneaton, got it, cheers CP.

You're absolutely right, Dutch. That lot reads like a version of my own personal hell. Awful people, the lot of them. Yewtree should be raiding their homes as we speak.

Yep - it's a feed that most media subscribe to. Sky have identical errors.

The "Ben Young" issue though is a BBC mistake.

WHO THE F*CK IS BEN YOUNG !!!

(I know who Ben Yon is . . . falls over a lot, gets caught offside, has added to his game in arguing with officials and rarely scores)

"Torquay defence have now gone 556 minutes without conceding a goal after five successive clean sheets."

Matches are 90 minutes long. 90 x 6 is 540. How the **** have we supposedly gone 556 minutes in 5 games?

The answer, for those who care, is that we have gone 526 minutes without conceding.

90 v Dover (90)
90 v Woking (180)
90 v Grimsby (270)
90 v Chester (360)
90 v Nuneaton (450)
76 v Lincoln (526) - their pen came in the 14th minute.
