We are 3 days away from the start of the new season, is there anyone who is thinking about doing a match preview?
I loved Andy's previews over the last couple of years, its a shame we cant have them for this season.

Good to see we haven't lost the excitement of being a Torquay fan. Bodes well for the coming season don't you think?

I shan't be missing Andy's matchday threads really, load of nonsense most of the time. I am, however, getting excited for the coming season and I'm sure the more wins we notch under our belt the more people we'll have contributing on the forum

Ha I know, my preview wouldn't be interesting! .. A possible team selection and the names of a few pubs I'll be visiting in Newcastle and Gateshead .. That's it

I will miss Andy's matchday threads; they didn't always make much sense, but they were usually very funny. Fans from other clubs also used to read them, apparently. I wonder if he's doing the same now on his 'new' club's forum ? I think the forum is poorer for his absence; it's certainly quieter ! Let's hope more people do start to contribute. COYYs !!!!!

well i have been put off. Some of you sat back and critisised his reviews yet didnt offer anything yourselves. You know who you are. So why should I take up the mantle.
If all you want to do is moan at someone who was willing to make an effort then you will have no reviews. simples

Sorry if I missed something here, it's probably been covered on the forum before and I've missed it but can somebody please tell me why Andy wont be doing his pre match stuff on here any more. Thankyou.

Andy got extremely upset about the events of last season; he thought that the directors should have publicly apologised to fans. He then considered that the Club should have reduced ticket prices for this season as some form of compensation. He got so upset about everything that he thought that he could no longer love Torquay United; he sold all his Torquay belongings (programmes, kit etc ) on e-bay, I believe. He said that he would be returning to support a previous club in his affections, & much nearer home; I think that it is York City. I've tried to remember this in the correct order & honestly, but it was all so emotional at the time that I apologise if I have misrepresented the situation in any way.

As for a match preview, Scott has created a match day thread and I have created my own on the main site.

Thanks Taxilady for the explanation of why Austrian Andy is absent from the site.
Not to worry, he'll be back next year after York are relegated and we are gloriously promoted back to the dizzy heights of league 2 as Conference Champions.

I thought
this was the main site.. And now we have
two match-day threads, but not on this, the most heavily used forum..??
