Rather than splashing the cash on 38 year old Jamie Cureton, I reckon Benson would be a great signing. Scored bags of goals at this level and only 34. He is currently without a club after doing well with Luton last year.

I think I mentioned this a while back and it was tossed in because he got sacked for being an arsehole.

Well Luton were supposed to be signing him permanently but it seems to have fallen through. Might be out of our price range but if we could afford him 114 goals at Conference and above level are not to be sniffed at.

If he's got history like that Hargreaves may put it to bed.

Benson (and his arsehole) are having a medical at Eastleigh tomorrow - will be signing for them.

Wow! How many strikers can they play in one game??

For some reason I had it in my head that Benson had already signed for someone.
Having signed Bowman I can't see us signing any more strikers (including Cureton) until one or both of Hawley and Benyon have gone. I don't see how we could afford to have 5 senior/experienced strikers on the books (Yeoman is no longer a kid!)
