Given that none of them are scoring, clearly not enough.OllieGull wrote:How many strikers do we have now? And the chances are we still won't be scoring goals...

But we need more than strikers who can score; we also need the other players to put some decent crosses and passes in to the strikers..
Ironically was set to join Northampton before Boothroyd got the chop.

Strikers that stay onside would be a bonus too.Gullscorer wrote:But we need more than strikers who can score; we also need the other players to put some decent crosses and passes in to the strikers..

Oh my word, you're sharp.. You should have been a Blades supporter..nickbrod wrote:Wilkinson? If he gets game time will he put Chesterfield to the sword? And be a cut above our other 'strikers'? :~D

Could this lad be a striker that can stay on side, stay on his feet and score a goal, if so, then yes please.

I have spoken to a friend who is a Bolton fan, this lad is highly though of within the Bolton ranks. Apparently is a very solid target man with an eye for goal. Was a target for some premier league clubs, but opted for Bolton with the promise of first team football (which didn't emerge) my mate has watched him for Bolton reserves and says he is very decent footballer.
Seems it was a 'close shave' between us and the Cobblers who he signed for ..... ha, ha, h ..... oh well, please yourselves =D =D =DRichinns wrote:Ironically was set to join Northampton before Boothroyd got the chop.

Having this loan player in is a two-edged sword. It's out with the old guard, in with the 'en garde'. He may be keen, but for how long will he retain his sharpness in the cut and thrust of League Two football..?? Will we need more fencing around the pitch..??
I'd better stop there...
