a massive thank you must go out to Bournemouth for 'waiving' any financial compensation for Hargreaves:
http://www.torquayheraldexpress.co.uk/C ... story.html

Could have made it as beneficial for them as possible which could have either made the appointment unlikely or at minimum had a big effect on what (if any) budget would have been given to Hargreaves to use in getting new players on board.

I know they got Eunan on the cheap but that was due to the contract we gave him, so in reality they did not owe us as if not them it would have been someone else.

I wish nothing but the best for them for the future.

Does seem to have made smoothed the way for CH to become Torquay manager, and as rightly pointed out in a world dominated by money is good to see.

Always had a soft spot for Bournemouth; they and Argyle are our neighbouring coastal league clubs. Never was an easy place to get to, though, by rail or by road.

Lingering guilt over the infamous 'Mr Singh' match.

More like club doing everything it can to help a well liked hard working employee to take the next step in his career, rather than helping our club or anything else to be honest. Still good to see, not many clubs would have done that.

Was just thinking that, what a terrible decision that was for the penalty...

What made me laugh was that their fans argued endlessly that it was definitely a pen... For much longer than it took for the player himself to admit that he dived. Quite bizarre. That said, decent club, Ballmouth.

Matt.

Indeed. Their fundraising for Burton fans to get a coach to the cup game is superb.

Bournemouth and their generous acts in one thread, Rene Howe in another.

No irony there then.

Yeah, but didn't go to Boscombe from us as a player, the other aforementioned players did.
