No chance.

Perhaps if the board employed someone who didn't always look, act and manage like they were partially comatosed then we'd at least be able to negate their alarming lack of managerial ability and get the players well up for games instead.

Forget Ling, forget Knill and forget Torquay having a league football team. The time to get rid has been and gone and now it's too late either way. RIP TUFC as a league club.

Whilst I don't think he should have been sacked in the first place, he won't come back, and nor should he.

The Board made the decision to axe him and that's that as far as I'm concerned.

We need somebody totally different - somebody who can motivate players, get them playing to their full potential, being proactive during games, make decisions on the fly to counteract what they are seeing in front of them like all the opposition managers seem to be able to do, somebody who can get wins and drag us up the table, somebody who tells it like it is.

Anybody but Juan bloody Knill

I want Chris Hargreaves. Has passion, loves the club, and has a reputation for being a bright coach with great ideas and would give the entire club a lift.

Will he keep us up, maybe not, but if it's not the players that are the problem but the coaching and management, will he do any worse? Not a chance

Get a gruff northerner in who treats the players fairly but won't take any crap nor act like a muppet with them like Alan Skrill. We don't need any more cockney geezers or blokes from Slough, I mean Slough! Get in a Branston! (Is he even northern?)

Sorry U-S-A-M that's a no from me, we don't want to go from passionless manager to another. Certainly not one we paid in full just a few months ago.

I'm not saying I want Ling back - just I would take him above Knill.

I'm not sure about Hargreaves, but again, certainly I would above Knill. He would, at least, have the backing of the supporters in terms of goodwill.

As for a replacement - I'm sure there are plenty of managers who are out of work, who short-term could do a better job. It would be hard for anyone to do worse.
