I'm having problems with the site and have been for a few days. Basically what happens is on a regular basis when I'm looking at a page the screen will change onto something else like a full screen pop up for something and I have to click back to get back to where I was. Why is it doing this anyone?

Looks like you might have a browser hijacker or some other form of spyware, Andy.
Nothing to really worry about but you might want to perform some routine maintenance.

Run a virus and spyware scan with your software. Please don't say you are surfing unprotected lol

Norton? Oh dear. Get rid of it. AVG is far better and there is a free version.
Use Ccleaner and then Malwarebytes. Both are free and simple to use and will clean your computer of most kinds of infections.

Just out of interet Dave, have you heard of Avast free anti-virus and what do you think of it, when I recently brought my new PC was advised to run this and told it was better than some you would pay for.

Yes Dave, I've heard of it and it's ok. I still think AVG is better but one thing people should know is that most of these AV programs are next to useless unless updated very regularly, even then they're still not very good at dealing with infections, consider them a smoke alarm, they'll let you know there's a fire but won't put it out. Personally I never run any AV on my own computers simply because they reduce performance but I do regularly run scans with trade software. Using computers as much as I do it soon becomes apparent if there's any kind of infection.
Definitely not a fan of McCoffee, just as bad as Norton in my book.
The most important piece of software on your pc is the firewall, if I was going to buy any kind of software that would be top of my list.
