UNITED have secured the services of Blackburn defender Anthony O’Connor until the end of the season.
The 21 year-old initially moved to Plainmoor in an emergency loan deal at the start of October and this was twice extended, as Anthony’s terrific performances at the back stood out in a difficult autumn for the Gulls.
Now the January transfer window has opened, manager Alan Knill moved quickly to keep the impressive young Irishman at TQ1 for the rest of our campaign.

Good news. Let's hope we can get to keep Marquis too.

After watching him let exeter score two goals I am not that impressed.
I was. Downes had a poor game IMO and was more at fault than O'Conner.yellowmonkey wrote:After watching him let exeter score two goals I am not that impressed.

Great news as it adds some continuity - if he'd gone back we'd have likely had to get someone else in and risk starting from square 1 all over again.
Like some others have stated, wouldn't mind seeing him given some game time at Right Back. Seems comfortable on the ball, plus with Pearce's credentials he's surely too good to be left on the bench.

Defenders at this level will always make mistakes - that is why they are here and not in top divisions - i suggest he makes less mistakes than many others........yellowmonkey wrote:After watching him let exeter score two goals I am not that impressed.
