It feels like a win

Relief, is the understatement. It surely gives the players and all associated with TUFC a sense of positive belief. Southend are a bogy side for us yet when the pressure was on we beat them quite comfortably. Why?

Poke returns, get clean sheet
Mozika is a diamond signing albeit PAYG
Knill has finally clicked
We had luck on our side, we won
The board where right not to sack Knill and give him chance to turn it around in the 2 week break

Surely we are going to pull away from this mess. COYY

Indeed, Cheltenham were beaten 4-2 at home but we didn't win again until Bury 7 games later. Bury were beaten and then we lost 4 of the next 5 so forgive me for not falling into the same trap. This win keeps us within touching distance of third bottom. That is all, it's a means to an end and not a corner turned but I like Lucy's positivity. :-D

Sorry but you had to be at today's game to see that there has been a definite positive change in the players' performance and Knill's tactics.
Given that bit of luck all teams need I do believe we can get out of this mess.
All I ask, apart from points on the table, is to reduce our minus goal difference.

I don't doubt that Nick but there is a tiny possibility that Southend didn't turn up rather than we played them off the park. I know it probably didn't look like that and I'm not trying to detract what was a superb win but it's one game. Play like that for 4 out of the next 6 for example and get some decent results on the board and I can then say we've truly turned the corner. I accept i wasn't there and we could get a scenario like Lings first season where an unexpected win is the catalyst for a remarkable run of form but until a few more games have passed then get carried away at your peril. I'm over the moon at today but keeping my feet on the ground - firmly.
