Just like to say that I have personally exhausted my anger, rage and disappointment towards Alan Knill and the overload of threads about the man are now tiring me.

I am going to be responsible for once and give the club my full support from now on and see if it will work and I suggest everybody else do the same. Knill is going nowhere so we just have to man up and crack on. I have accepted relegation already in my head but my heart says not and the players want to hear what our hearts are singing to them when they are out on the pitch. They don't want to play in a negative poisonous environment. I think we've all had enough of that now.

All I want to do is go and watch Torquay United play football and i'll do that whatever league we're in.

I'm not going to let Alan Knill win, I won't let him beat me so if I accept the worst now then nothing more he can do will upset me or make me angry. If we go down and we play in the conference next season and restructure then Torquay will still be there for me to watch so I win, if a miracle happens and we escape the drop then I win too.

I believe the Buddhists call it 'detachment' and some might say that I am actually detached from reality posting this but this is how it is to be now and I think you should follow suit.

If you want to stay away from watching us because the football is just so bad then that is your choice but i'll keep going whenever I can regardless because it's what should be done, and more importantly it is what I WANT to do.

So come and join me over 'ere if you feel like letting everything take it's course and to do what real supporters do - go through thick and thin. It's your club and still will be when Knill has been and gone so remember that and for those of you harping on about how p*ssed off you are because Knill is taking us into the conference, well that indicates you care about the club and want us to survive. If you stop going then you are contributing towards a possible eventuality of the club going under which is the very thing you are fighting against by wanting us to stay up if that makes sense.

Just be bigger than Knill and get on with things as you always have. If you'd rather go and do something else on a matchday then be my guest but to those who need the club then come and join me in total support from here on in. It's the right and proper thing to do now.

After all, we are supposed to be TORQUAY TIL WE DIE!! TORQUAY TIL WE DIE!!

Moaning and whinging won't get us anywhere, if any thingit makes the atmosphere worst. If Alan does stay, we will have to support the boys and unfortunately support Alan himself, we gotta be positive

Superb post and would rather knill was not here. Been to every home match so far and its been pretty dire, but I shall still go to every single home match this season whoever the manager is. And I shall continue to go every season because whatever league we are in Torquay is the team I support

Great sentiment Andy (don't always agree with your thoughts) but this is spot on. I hope Knill will see us to safety and there are still 81 points to play for but if the worst happens let's make sure there is still a club to support.
As a season ticket holder living 200 miles from Plainmoor it has to be something in the blood that keeps me driving those miles each home game!
On other threads I have made suggestions about a replacement should Knill go but after the Argyle game I did state I felt he was here for the duration.
Looking at this weekend's fixtures I suspect Knill will be in Chesterfield watching their FA Cup match against next Saturday's opponents Southend.

What a couple of ludicrous statements...

You make it sound like a battle between good and evil; you the good guy, Alan Knill the evil.
Here is a man who is doing his best to manage a football team, and you make it something personal; the trouble being he probably has no idea who you are.

Why not get behind the club, the team and the manager and accept there may be reasons that you are unaware of that mean Torquay United are where they are in the league, and that people are working together behind the scenes to make sure the situation improves.

Funny how over the last six or seven seasons it seems every manager is not only criticised but vilified as if he is some monster who is setting out to wreak havoc on our club. Buckle, Ling and now Knill put through the ringer despite giving every effort to bring some sort of success to Torquay United. It becomes like some demonic witch hunt. Madness...

Simply because Alan Knill is working hard, it doesn't mean, therefore, we need to endure him as a manager if he his abilities to manage our club are lacking. I'm sure any fan would work hard if somehow landed with the job. Hard work is one thing, but being suited/able to do the job is quite another.

Well I'm determined to give it a real go Nick and although I can't not give criticism in match reports for poor performances I am now going to look at if there were other factors why a certain player didn't play so well therefore being a little fairer. There will be no more overly exaggerated and persistent posts about similar things. Once I've given over my opinion about something then i'll try and leave it at that Nick instead of posting continuously. It's a work in progress my friend if you are willing to bear with me?

That's it. Absolute proof that Hector MUST be doing this deliberately. Oh Hector, I'm sorry it took me so long to realise, but I'm with you now.
