Sigh.
Agree
IMO he is just trying to mask the fact that all his attacking signings have been shocking plus trying to also hide the fact that the players already here that he's shifted out on loan to other clubs could do a job for us after all but he doesn't want to admit it.
If you take away all loanees in and out and look at our squad it looks desperate. An indictment of Knill's managerial ability.
So if we look at all the players as a whole.
Ball (joined on loan - played about 12 or so games and scored 2, one of which was a huge defelction)
Hawley (has scored two in about 14 games , the same as Downes.
McCourt (I can understand Knill bringing someone in for Harding but absolutely NOT an 18 year old with no prior experience of pro football)
Mozika, looks like he has something and should improve in the right set up and with fitness but at the minute he shouldn't be starting games.
Cameron (who?)
Chappell (has turned into Billy Bodin I think only with more goals - still a super little player but Alan has destroyed him)
Azeez (debut goal and notched at Wycombe but overall has disappointed - another who can be anonymous for large periods)
McCallum (the only relative success as a goalscorer but only scored due to having the strikers knack of making an intelligent run and being in the right place at the right time - something our other strikers don't have)
Ben Harding (had shown improved form prior to injury but jury is still well and truly out)
Krystian Pearce (ironically I believe has the potential to be Knill's best signing but guess what? HE NEVER F*CKING PLAYS HIM!!!)
Anthony O'Connor (looks a decent prospect and happy for him to be here AS COVER - NOT IN PLACE OF PEARCE WHO NEEDS GAMES!)
Dale Tonge ( I don't quite know what to make if him still but shall I just say - underwhelmed )
On top of this he has sent Lathrope, Yeoman, MacKenzie and Thompson out on loan all which imo should be on the bench at least. Then we have Lings failures such as Craig who nobody seems to be able to get the best out of and for the first part of the season Knill didn't even think him good enough for a place on the bench! Now he plays! IN THE WRONG F*CKING POSITION!!!
Then we have Bodin, another Ling failure and now Knill failure this season before injury. I think the best thing all round for this lad is to just move on and try and resurrect his career because it has just stopped completely. Nicholson and Cruise are both capable but have been totally demoralised and destroyed by Knill's insatiable need to swap then drop. How many times this season? Mansell isn't a Ling failure but his effectiveness this season is almost nothing for whatever reason. Knill perhaps? Aaron Downes has looked shaky at times too but he is under so much pressure in a team that is all over the place and generally he gives his all and scores the odd one too.
In fact the only positive about all our players is Martin Rice and that is because he has so much to do every week.
When you look at this then it really should be clear that the board have no alternative but to give Knill the nudge today if possible because he is taking us down, making us play sh*t at the same time and taking our money too. In essence he is taking the p*ss out of us and laughing about it. He is ignorant and yet again failed to applaud the fans at Accrington I am led to believe. Who does he think he is?!! Ignorant tw*t!! I really think he has got the siege mentality in his head now and he holds the Torquay fans in contempt for some bizarre reason. But that is just what Alan and this season so far is.................totally bizarre. In fact, could the stadium dj / announcer man play that song by OMC at Plainmoor once the team is read out please as I feel it would be appropriate.
