Sensible bit of business by Knill, not in terms of how good he is because we don't know yet but we need short term defensive cover, he is a young lad but has experience of league two at Burton and can fit in straight away.

If he plays Cruise at centre back again on Saturday with this lad on the bench then send him back. He can either do a job or he can't. We need our players in their best positions and Cruise is at full back so that is where i want to see him on Saturday with O'Connor in the 11.

If Pearce is absent due to illness however then that becomes a different story.

Pleased about this on the face of it. Well done Alan.

Glad we've moved quickly and sorted this out at the beginning of the week so he can train with squad and be fully prepared to play on Saturday.
Sounds to have the right pedigree-would be interested to know what Burton fans thought of him.
Pretty sure Pearce will be fully recoverd by Saturday-still fear the worst as regards Downsey though.

Experience in League 2 is the biggest plus with this loan and I think it is a very good one.

Almost 50 games at Burton last year so he will be a starter until either Downes is fit again or until his loan runs out.

Excellent signing to cover for Downes injury.

Pretty much an ever present while on loan at Burton last season, albeit playing at Right Back as opposed to his preferred position at Centre Half which is obviously where he will play for us. It seems Gary Rowett (Burton Manager) was keen to resign him again in the summer but Blackburn wanted to have a closer look at him in pre season and so it didn't happen.

Rowett certainly has plenty of positive things to say about him in this article...

Together with Azeez, I think both of these young lads will add some real quality to the side.

Best loan signing they have ever made whilst not playing in his natural position?

We will have some of that!

Seems like a good signing - perhaps Knill can mould all these "good signings" into a team that doesn't keep losing.

Yes, good. Mr. Knill has acted quickly and efficiently.

Knill obviously has no contacts, no idea where the team needs strengthening and should be sacked immediately....................

It's more him taking the piss of all are signings when all he needed to say that he will be a good signing. That's my opinion but if it wasnt inteneddd to be negative as brucie usually does I'm sorry
