Totally agree but not because of their sheer incompetence but because it's another rip off. I would welcome commercial breaks to the BBC network and do away with the licence fee. I'd happily pay the licence fee if there was something for everyone to watch ON BBC 1 at prime time instead of dancing and singing shows followed by casualty. CASUALTY!! Oh great, it's Saturday night, 9pm so lets settle down to a nice dose of people getting injured / ill/ dying. What a cheer. The only surprise is they haven't yet added Eastenders to the Saturday night schedule to compound the misery. Everytime that is on there is always someone either shouting or crying! No wonder I don't like London!
As for the sports output, MOTD fronted by suited gents and Robbie Savage who looks a complete arse, the FL show who show a couple of games, talk about them, show a couple more and talk about them and so on and so forth - IT'S PAST MIDNIGHT FFS! SHOW THE GOALS THEN F*CK OFF!!.
And Radio 1, OMFG. Rap, then a bit of R&B then a bt of girly rhianna type stuff then some more rap then a bit more R&b........THERE ARE OTHER MUSIC GENRES THAT YOU ARE ALLOWED TO PLAY ON MAINSTREAM RADIO YOU BUNCH OF VAGINAS!! What they play now makes me physically bilious and is just a load of women writhing about, a load of blokes with involuntary arm movements making unnatural high pitch noises and some tw*t in the background just going, YEAH YEAH YEAH . F*cking quality that pal. UNBELIEVABLE!!
A saving grace is BBC4. This often has programmes I freely admit i'm not intelligent enough to appreciate but it also has lots that I am and do. Oh and CBeebies is another output that is most welcome (as I also enjoy a bit of Numberjacks and Tree Fu Tom ).

Given your appalling taste in music, you really can have no argument over the output on Radio 1 (however shite it is)

He has a great taste in music, thank you!

Mainly because it's similar to mine...
I bet you like Celine Dion, Scott. You seem like one of those fannies!

Audioslave, Wolves In The Throne Room and others ringing in my ears and I can laugh at people who think Ellie Goulding has talent. HAVE YOU HEARD THAT SONG? SERIOUSLY ?? Oooh Soil, haven't listened to them for years. I could see songs like Breaking Me Down being fantastic gym music.

It doesn't matter though it's only league two. I mean, nobody is actually interested in league two football.

Nobody is interested in Torquay United either, not even in Torquay.

Some of the recent coverage (text/page 301/live scores &c.) has been appallingly bad.

There is only one type of "fanny" that I like o:)
Personally I prefer my music to have lyrics that one can hear being spoken, and not somebody just shouting complete shite into a microphone and passing it off as music.
Some of the rubbish on Radio one is just that, rubbish. I have rather eclectic tastes in music and can tolerate most genres.

You may agree or disagree with the television licence, but it must be remembered that the licence fee is not a mandatory payment simply to enable you to watch BBC TV, it's a mandatory licence for you to watch all broadcast live television. I find it surprising that people who complain about this are often the same people who happily pay out hundreds each year for satellite or cable television services which come complete with adverts.
Personally, I would prefer the BBC to be funded out of general taxation, since I pay very little in tax.
Sometimes I think I would even be happy for the BBC to be completely closed down, since it is now so completely under pro-feminist (of the extreme radical kind) and pro-Israeli control. Biased is not a strong enough word to describe the BBC these days. Remember the outcry in 2009 when the BBC refused to broadcast a humanitarian appeal for victims of the Israeli attack on Gaza, an appeal which was broadcast by all others, including Sky and ITV.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/tvan ... -Gaza.html
The BBC is both biased and incompetent, but, of course, other broadcasters also have their own faults and shortcomings. One thing is certain. If the licence fee is stopped, if even the BBC is closed down, governments would find some other way of robbing us of our hard-earned money. And commercial broadcasters would continue with their own ways of ripping us all off..

I question the need to have a television at all.

good grief; give it a rest with the "they're all radical feminists" ranting, would you?

Well that's the first thing I've ever agreed with you on.

Me too, ours is hardly ever on. A bit of kids telly here and there and sport and the odd programme but that's it really. Often when we do have it on it's only background and we aren't really watching it.
